Stirling Dunblane Alloa Electrification
ESL undertook OLE installation work mainly involving switching and HV cabling. ESL supplied teams of OLEC linesmen and supervisors who worked alongside those of the main contractor to install switching equipment, HV cable and to close out snags.
Working with Morris Line Equipment and overboom HV cabling switching installation were completed at various locations across the route.
Inspections and testing plans were produced to demonstrate that installation was carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and design.
ESL teams were able to complete the required work in accordance with programme and with no accidents of incidents.
Project Description
As part of the Scottish Government’s strategic investment to electrify central Scotland’s railway approximately 100 single track kilometres of railway from Stirling to Dunblane and Alloa was electrified as part of the SDA Electrification project.
